- USB: Dr. Bott LLC distributing USB keyboard in all six iMac colors. Keyboard has standard Macintosh extended layout - we're hoping to get one for review.

- Preview: Office 2001 for Macintosh, MacNN, 4/27. Already dominant in word processing, browser, email client, and spreadsheet on the Mac, Microsoft hopes to leverage that into other areas. LEM spin: Office 2001 sounds very ambitious, although I still love my Claris Emailer and ClarisWorks (still happy with v.4).

- Dark Side: Window Manager: Readers send in best tips...., Brian Livingston, Infoworld, 4/21. Win2K doesn't support USB in Safe Mode. This can be a real problem for "legacy-free" computers! LEM spin: The Wintel folk can't get their own technology right. Good thing Macs don't work that way.
