Physical Specs and Compatibility

The MicroConversions 2124NB card is a 7" NuBus card compatible with 680x0- and PowerPC-based Macs running up to Mac OS 9.0.4. However, the software is incompatible with Mac OS 9.0 and higher.

Acceleration/Resolution/Color Support

The card provides standard QuickDraw acceleration and supports the following resolution/color combinations:

640 x 480 up to 24-bit
640 x 870 up to 24-bit
832 x 624 up to 24-bit
1024 x 768 (at 75 Hz) up to 24-bit
1152 x 870 up to 24-bit

Other Notes

The MC2124NB is incompatible with Sonnet G3 upgrades.
Acceleration is, according to a guy who emailed me, on par with a IIci's built-in video.
MicroConversions went under in 1999, and their website has disappeared. We do not know of a source for drivers.
