PeripheralsTo pick the right UPS, you need to know how much power
your equipment consumes. Following is a list of Apple
peripherals and their maximum rated power consumption. (All
ratings are for 120V AC.) Drives- Most external drives have 40W power supplies
- Zip drive 13W (printed on power brick - yours
may vary)
- APS SR2000 case, external supply 1A/120VA
Modems- Don't sweat modems that draw power from the ADB port
or are built into the computer.
- Most modems use power bricks, which are clearly
labelled.
