Power Consumption, Peripherals

To pick the right UPS, you need to know how much power your equipment consumes. Following is a list of Apple peripherals and their maximum rated power consumption. (All ratings are for 120V AC.)

Drives

• Most external drives have 40W power supplies
• Zip drive 13W (printed on power brick - yours may vary)
• APS SR2000 case, external supply 1A/120VA

Modems

• Don't sweat modems that draw power from the ADB port or are built into the computer.
• Most modems use power bricks, which are clearly labelled.
• Supra 144LC 9W
