Old Macs available to schools

If you have old Macs you'd like to make available to schools, please let me know what you have and where you're located. I will email it to the MacInSchool email list and post it here. Thanks! Dan Knight , publisher, Low End Mac

Also be sure to see our list of schools looking for old Mac equipment.

ImageWriter LQ, Edmore, Michigan

My mother, a retired teacher, has an Imagewriter LQ in very good condition, along with extra ribbons, that she would like to donate to a school in the area which could use it. This is that huge, wide carriage model that weighs a ton, but does do good basic printing. Since it is so heavy, she is reluctant to try to ship it anywhere (just try finding a box big enough!) but either she or I could deliver it to a school in the area. She lives outside of Edmore (about 25 miles east of Howard City) & I live in Grand Rapids, so if you hear of any school anywhere in between that could use it, just give me a holler.

Thanks Much!
Eric

Two Mac IIci systems in Germantown, Maryland

Hi I have two old Macs to donate:

1. Mac IIci with 20 MB RAM, ethernet card, and 21" monochrome monitor, 14.4 modem, SyQuest drive, two external hard drives, ImageWriter II printer, LaserWriter IIf printer

2. Mac IIci with swivel RasterOps page size monochrome monitor, 20 MB RAM, ethernet card, 28.8 modem, external floppy drive, and assorted cabling

Please let me know if you're interested in these Macs. They're workhorses and still work great. They need a good home since I got my iMac.

Thanks,
Patti Henningsen

Classic, Apple IIe stash in Ohio

I am working on building a computer lab at school and have many old Apples left from days gone by: five Classics, maybe a dozen Apple IIes. Many monitors and keyboards. Some memory SIMMs and the ethernet card and wires and boxes that look like networking things. A few modems too. I would like someone to have them if they are of any value to anyone. We are in Ohio.
