This was the last Mac designed around the 68040 processor. Although some versions were labelled LC, the 630 was designed to replace the Quadra 610. The LC and Performa models used the less expensive 68LC040, which lacks a CPU, while the Quadra 630 spots a full 68040. The slide-out motherboard makes upgrades very easy.
