LaserWriter Pro 810
Overview
With the LaserWriter Pro 810, Apple abandoned the Canon engines used in earlier LaserWriters in favor of a blazingly fast 20 page per minute Fuji Xerox XP 20 engine that could print at 800 dots per inch, had three paper trays, and supported 11 x 17 paper. One of the nicest options was the ability to send a job to the printer and have it faxed, making this not only a great workgroup printer, but a great way to fax projects without ever needing to make hard copy. Unfortunately, support for this disappeared with Mac OS 9.
