Apple overhauled the iPod line in September, and now there are four different models: shuffle, nano, classic, and touch - not to mention the iPhone. Because of the breadth of the iPod line, we now have four iPod price trackers, one for classic iPods, one for the iPod touch, one for the nano, and one for the shuffle.

iPod touch

The iPod touch brings most of the iPhone's functionality to the iPod line, and you don't lose much beyond the phone and camera. The iPod touch looks a lot like the iPhone, but it's smaller and less expensive. Apple announced a $20 software upgrade to the iPod touch as the Macworld Expo. The five-app package can be ordered from the iTunes Store and installed using iTunes. These programs are standard on every iPod touch produced since Jan. 15, 2008.

iPods aren't just for music, photos, and video, they're also a great way to backup and transport files between computers.
